Introduction
Glynis and Bill Young produced this history of the club to mark our 20th anniversary in 2006. It is also available as a PDF to download here, Seaford Striders RC 20th anniversary history.
The story begins….
One evening during the middle of 1986 Martin Bulger and Peter Forster were driving home from the Saffron’s Club at Eastbourne where they used to train. Martin enquired how much interest would their be if they tried to form a running club in Seaford. So an advertisement was placed in the local Friday Ad suggesting a meeting on the 15th of October 1986.
