Our WNS groups have been really well supported and a huge thanks to everyone for turning out in such great numbers also a big thanks to all those who have led groups.

If you have a favourite route that you would like a group to try and it fits in with that groups profile then please let us know, we are always on the lookout for more jungle adventures.
Please read the group details carefully as there are changes to some groups for Wednesday evenings runs.
Changes again for this week, the road closures on the Newhaven ring road have finished however for the next 3 weeks we have road closures in Peacehaven from 8pm.
We are really sorry if the times are too early for you however we appreciate that we have lots of members from the Newhaven and Peacehaven area and we don’t want anyone to miss out.
With a forecast of 22c and only  a 9% chance of rain it’s going to be a warm dry one with a 12mph NNW wind.
The trails may be a little bit messy after the recent deluges so routes will be chosen with that in mind.

Just a couple of notes about the Striders Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge.

People have said they would like to sign up but not actually do the full 3 Peaks, this is absolutely fine.
There are lots of wonderful walks from Horton-In-Ribblesdale and you may choose to do just one or two of the mountains.
There are many club members who love to try an adventurous walk, there is no commitment to having to do the 3 Peaks so please come along, enjoy the day and enjoy whichever route you choose.

The other point is regarding pubs, The Golden Lion Hotel in Horton-In-Ribblesdale is where we will all meet at the end of our walks/runs.

The Old Hill Inn is a convenient stop between Whernside and Ingleborough mountains on the 3 Peaks route, the ideal place to pause and take on refreshments (pints at your peril) and with just one mountain followed by 6 miles downhill left you may be tempted by their menu.

Sadly we are still short on numbers for the day out so please come along and join in whatever distance you would like to do, it is a fantastic opportunity to discover the area and think of all those Strava PB’s.

Group leaders will keep a record of all the people in their groups so we can maintain the requirements of our Covid-19 Risk Assessment and Action Plan. Details of our Covid-19 Risk assessment are available here. Please read carefully and make sure you’re social distancing.

Seaford Striders Running Club is affiliated with England Athletics and operates under its guidance.

We hope that everyone is enjoying their WNS and it’s great to see our group numbers growing and the club’s membership thriving. Please do not hesitate to bring along guests to WNS as it is a great way to introduce someone to the club. “No one gets left behind”.
