Important changes to this week – read carefully

Please read the group details carefully as there are changes to some groups for Wednesday evenings runs.

We are still looking forward to having our normal runs just that due to the ring road closure in Newhaven 3 of the groups will be starting at earlier times. These start times will probably continue until the work on the ring road is completed, scheduled to be July 10th however please check the weekly email for updates. We are really sorry if the times are too early for you however we appreciate that we have lots of members from the Newhaven and Peacehaven area and don’t want them to miss out.

With a forecast of 17c and a WSW wind of 9 mph  and only a 5% chance of rain it promises to be a pleasant but warm evening out on the trails, remember to keep yourself hydrated.

If you have any queries about the groups regarding pace, distance etc please contact the group leaders or email secretary@seafordstriders.org.uk and I will pass it on.

Please read the following carefully.

On Wednesday June 23rd all being well we be holding the Striders Annual Solstice run. This will take place at 7pm on the Seaford Beach Park Run course. There will be a race for both Adult and Junior Striders. We are looking for a few volunteers to help with the organisation, timekeeping etc so please let myself or Nick Farley know if you able to assist. The Solstice Race will take the place of the normal WNS so there will be no groups that evening.

Group leaders will keep a record of all the people in their groups so we can maintain the requirements of our Covid-19 Risk Assessment and Action Plan. Details of our Covid-19 Risk assessment are available here. Please read carefully and make sure you’re social distancing.

Seaford Striders Running Club is affiliated with England Athletics and operates under its guidance.

We hope that everyone is enjoying their WNS and it’s great to see our group numbers growing and the club’s membership thriving. Please do not hesitate to bring along guests to WNS as it is a great way to introduce someone to the club. “No one gets left behind”.
